Moskvitch

Moskvitch (Russian for "Muscovite") was founded in 1930 as the "Moscow Automotive Plant". This plant was moved to Ural in 1941, and it produced military equipment for WWII until 1945. From 1947 the production of cars started again, in the beginning with a car based on the old Opel Kadett. The production ceased in 2002.
